Is responsible for assisting in developing educational
programs for the temporary exhibitions at Pfac along with
other in-house and outreach educational services.
Education:
High school degree, with at least two years
of undergraduate college education.
Qualifications:
General knowledge of art history and basic
office procedures.
Computer skills, preferably to include
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
An interest in art, art education and/or
museum work.
Responsibilities:
To assist the Educator in developing educational
programs for general public, i.e. tours, docent training,
teacher re-certification, Community and Activity Days.
To work on special research projects as
directed by the Educator.
To assist with the updating and ongoing
enhancement of a special “hands-on” gallery for
children and their parents.
To assist with program evaluation of educational
offerings.
To assist with outreach and in-house art
education activities, i.e. classes at the Extend Center, exhibition-related
activities with school groups after tours.
To assist Facilities Operations Manager
with installing and dismantling exhibitions as needed (generally
every 2 months).
