  • Art + Words featuring Michal Mahgerefteh

    PFAC's monthly celebration of spoken word welcomes Michal Mahgerefteh as its featured reader for July. Mahgerefteh hails from Israel, but has called Virginia home since 1986. She's authored four poetry collections. Poets are invited to share original or favorite poems during the open mic portion of the evening. Art + Words is offered on the second Thursday of every month.

    The Peninsula Fine Arts Center Board of Trustees presents Hydrangeas and Highballs, an elegant evening in PFAC's beautiful illuminated garden, sipping highballs and bubbly to celebrate the opening of "American Scenery: Different Views in the Hudson River School Painting" on July 11, 2015. All proceeds from this special evening benefit the Peninsula Fine Arts Center.

    View a breathtaking collection of 116 landscape paintings from artists associated with the Hudson River School, a 19th-century American art movement capturing the beauty of a country on the cusp of change.
