Women of the World: Watercolors by Rieneke Leenders
Through a selection of her broad range of work, Leenders offers a glimpse into the lives and status of women around the world.
Born in the Netherlands and now residing in Virginia Beach, Rieneke Leenders has traveled extensively, exploring six continents and 57 countries during her lifetime. In 1981 she brought back 100-plus rolls of film from her travels, which have become her artistic catalyst for much of her recent work, including this exhibition.
