Morisette: Re/Collections
Artist Elizabeth Morisette creates intriguing works from collections of ephemera purchased on eBay. The flotsam and jetsam of everyday life serves as Morisette’s medium and includes hair clips, twist ties, artificial flowers, curlers, buttons, Star Wars trading cards, cookie cutters, swizzle sticks, puzzle pieces, hair pins, plastic army men, zippers, crochet ties, plastic eggs, shower curtain rings, bees wax and other found objects. These intense assemblages, 23 in all, include both wall hangings and works on pedestals.
